Ready to unlock the potential?
There’s so much happening in your community that renewable energy can help thrive by generating both funding and support. Explore the plan for the Blackhall Solar Farm and see all the great initiatives which can directly benefit.
Packed with potential energy
Blackhall Solar Farm is a potential solar project in the townlands of Mulhussey, Milltown, Batterstown, and surroundings. Solar energy can help us to reduce emissions, become carbon neutral, and displace harmful fossil fuels – by generating clean green renewable energy. This will help Ireland to reach its 80% renewable electricity target by 2030, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels and increasing security of energy supply.
We have undertaken a wide range of environmental assessments, including landscape and visual, heritage and archaeology, ecology, hydrology, glint and glare, and more.
This solar farm project in Co. Meath could highly benefit the local nature and provide biodiversity enhancement opportunities.
Blackhall is packed
with potential
We want people to experience the benefits of renewable energy! A designated community benefit fund of the Blackhall Solar Farm will support environmental projects, voluntary organisations, community groups, and schools situated near the solar farm project.
Want to suggest where that money is going?
GP JOULE Ireland is excited to roll out our Pin Your Passion campaign. Get involved in your local community and discover what potential lies in the townlands around the project. We especially welcome ideas around the themes of environmental awareness, biodiversity, energy-saving, sustainable transport, local food, and waste and recycling.
